The New Puma x MAC collection

Puma has turned to the beauty industry for its latest collaboration. The German athletic giant is teaming up with makeup guru MAC Cosmetics to release a limited-edition capsule next month in celebration of the 50th anniversary of its enduringly popular Suede sneaker. The collaboration includes three bold colorways of the classic retro-styled kicks, each inspired by one of MAC’s most popular lipstick shades.   The Crème d’Nude shoe features what the brand describes as a “posh, peachy blush” hue and is detailed with matching laces, a rose gold textured outsole and a Puma x MAC logo tag on the tongue. The Sin style comes in a rich burgundy shade, while the Lady Danger iteration highlights a vibrant coral-red color. All three shoes showcase shimmery metallic...

Coach 1941 Resort 2019

Los Angeles lounge lizards and the Viper Room inspired Stuart Vevers' glam/grunge resort lineup. In the last few seasons, Stuart Vevers has had Coach on a cross-country road trip of sorts. You can trace the route of his inspiration through space and time, from the gritty downtown sidewalks of Keith Haring’s New York, through the rolling plains of the American West at the turn of the century. The latest stop lands the brand in the netherworld of Los Angeles, specifically the dark, smoke-filled rooms of legendary Hollywood hangout, the Viper Room, circa 1992.   The British creative director has vivid memories of visiting the club on his first trip to the West Coast 20 years ago, and that moody rock ’n’ roll vibe...

Louis Vuitton Resort 2019

Louis Vuitton‘s Resort 2019 collection debuted at the Maeght Foundation museum of modern art in the south of France, marking Nicolas Ghesquière‘s fifth cruise collection for the luxury house. This season took on a more free-spirited attitude that fused ’80s eclecticism with signature LV codes, much of which was built upon opposing elements — angular shoulders with billowing silks, cool neutrals offset with kaleidoscopic hues, and a medley of pattern clashing assisted by colorful metallics, bohemian prints and touches of the iconic LV Monogram print. Notable pieces include the cape and bomber jackets lined with LV Monogram, the patterned ’80s metallic cropped jackets, the boxy suit pieces and the feather tops. Perhaps the biggest hits of the range, however, fell in the...

Christian Dior Resort 2019

Christian Dior's Resort 2019 Collection Taps Mexican Female Rodeo Riders Christian Dior announced that it would be taking its Resort 2019 show to France’s Chantilly Stables. Located 30 miles from Dior’s Paris headquarters, the location proved a stunning setting for Maria Grazia Chiuri‘s sophomore Resort line for the house, despite a bout of inclement weather that poured through the open-air hippodrome. The collection’s primary source of inspiration drew from Mexican female rodeo riders called escaramuza, who were in fact flown in to open and close the runway presentation via a series of synchronized galloping choreography. Keeping with Chiuri’s delicately feminine flair, the range was a stunning display of equestrian-tinged ready-to-wear marked by ornate embroidery, floral prints, rodeo hats, wide leather belts, pleated long skirts and lots of cotton lace. ...
