GLOBAL LUXURY FASHION SALES MAY NOT RECOVER FROM COVID-19 UNTIL 2022

The luxury fashion industry is one of many establishments around the globe that has been greatly affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. According to CNBC, Bain & Company has released its latest luxury report dubbed, “Bain & Company Luxury Study 2020 Spring Update,” in partnership with Altagamma – an Italian luxury brand committee composed of companies in the fields of design, fashion, food, jewelry, automobiles and hospitality. The global consultancy estimates that sales plummeted by “25 percent in the first quarter of 2020” and expects it to continue dropping towards the end of the year. Additionally, CNBC states that year-end sales may account for a total of €180 billion to €220 billion EUR (approximately $195 billion to $239 billion USD). NIKE GIVES THE CHUNKY AIR MAX KOKO SANDAL A “WASHED CORAL” MAKEOVER

After unveiling the Air Max Koko in triple white and “Black/Metallic Gold,” Nike Japan has dropped the sandal in a summer-ready “Washed Coral” colorway. In addition, the Swoosh brand is also set to release a triple black iteration to the chunky silhouette. Designed for women, the footwear style features the brand’s classic Nike Air cushioning at the heel that provides all-day comfort. discord Yohji Yamamoto Releases Leather Goods With Naoya Inose

The discord Yohji Yamamoto line has just released a collection of small leather goods with Japanese artist Naoya Inose. Arriving in the form of a tri-fold wallet and a cardholder, the collection takes images from Inose’s melancholic Romantic Depression body of work. Colorful hues are present throughout and from key imagery in the form of a penguin landscape, TV color bar, and cassette tape. VANS FINALLY EXPANDS ITS “FOOT THE BILL” CUSTOMIZATION PROGRAM TO EUROPE

Following the launch of its “Foot The Bill” customization program in the U.S., Vans has now expanded its initiative to Europe to further support its small business partners. Chanel Unveils Luxurious Coco Clock

If more traditional mechanical desk clocks like Jaeger-LeCoultre’s air-powered Atmos Clock aren’t your thing, Chanel has just unveiled a stunning blacked-out “Coco Clock.”Rather than the use of traditional clock hands, the Coco Clock features a playful Mademoiselle Chanel character with her hands pointed out to tell the time. In true luxurious Chanel fashion, the clock is detailed with a white-gold base with 305 brilliant-cut diamonds, a 166-diamond clock face bezel, and the Mademoiselle Chanel character made from black obsidian, diamonds, and pearls. Dangling Charms Define Gucci’s Latest Square Sunglasses Style

Continuing to deliver exclusives on its website, Gucci has now released its latest sunglasses style. Dubbed simply “Square Sunglasses With Charms,” the frames are defined by danging decorations that offer a whimsical touch. Available in “Brown Acetate” and “Black Acetate,” the made in Italy sunglasses feature gold-tone metal arms that express a braided chain effect. The ends of the arms feature detachable chains connected to the aforementioned Interlocking G motif charms, while Gucci logos are present on the temple regions.
