Pantone’s 2019 Color of the Year

The upcoming year is coming up coral. (Try saying that five times fast.) In its annual tradition, Pantone determined the 2019 Color of the Year is Living Coral, a friendly color that "encourages lighthearted activity" and "embodies our desire for playful expression." In other words, it's not a super serious color, and is, in fact, quite the departure from last year's bold Ultraviolet. Perennial trendsetters Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner might have been onto something because they both wore similarly coral dresses while out in Paris in September. Though coral is a classic color on both the runway and in stores, we're looking forward to seeing it become more prominent in the forthcoming year. Ahead, enjoy Pantone's announcement and shop some of our favorite coral selections!...

TOM FORD SPRING/SUMMER 2019

Given the harshness of the world, a softer color palette seemed right to me this season. Shades of nude and skin tones look especially beautiful to me right now. Flesh colors are sensual and have a warmth and humanity that I think that we all crave at the moment. Warm white, powder blue and the palest of lilacs and blush pink are important colors in the collection. And of course black is always a color that I love working with. Black frames the face of the wearer and emphasizes a silhouette like no other color can. There is a kind of security in black. Fabrics alternate between the softness and romance of lace, chiffon, georgette and even the lightest stretch...

What to Give Up: Plaid Print It's not that we don't love you, plaid, but with new prints emerging in 2018, it's time to give the others a chance to shine. The Best Statement Necklaces

Statement necklaces take on new iterations each season. While Meghan Markle makes the case for treasures she picks up on her travels (remember that painted pasta necklace she rocked in Melbourne and the Pounamu stone she was gifted in New Zealand?), other designs, such as shell jewelry and logo pendants, remain prominent street style trends. If you're looking to gift a special someone a very special chain this holiday season — one that she'll wear proudly well into 2019 Chainlink Does you prefer gold or silver hardware? Make that decision first, then invest in a choker length design or something you can wrap around twice. Logo Pendant Finish off a bohemian dress with your favorite logo: it's the closest thing to wearing your heart on your sleeve when it comes to jewelry. Dannijo Leon No...
