A rabbit symbol was first introduced over a decade ago as a detail on the Marni shoes line. It has always been internally considered as a sign of good luck, a sort of talisman that has been applied in a discreet way on various products throughout the years.
In the Fall/Winter 2018 ready-to-wear collections, Marni Creative Director Francesco Risso decided to reinterpret this iconic symbol and present it in a new and playful way, including in the men’s runway looks, giving birth to the DANCE BUNNY logo and the idea to present a cross-category capsule collection around this concept. The Spring/Summer 2019 capsule is enriched with new interpretations of the BIGFOOT sneaker, also introduced in Fall/Winter 2018 with fantastic market feedback.
The capsule presents the new DANCE BUNNY logo together with additional supporting graphics, to create a total look that is inspired by Japanese streetwear, including some iconic and volume-driven MARNI items as a starting point.
It comes with variations of the DANCE BUNNY as an allover or placed print, intarsia, or applique patch to embellish strong, image-driven products such as knitwear, shirts, sweatshirts, t-shirts/polos, outerwear, and sport pants, all with very attractive price points.
The concept is completed with an assortment of streetwear-inspired accessories; including exclusive variations on the new BIGFOOT sneaker, a nylon bags/accessories group, caps, socks, and jewelry for a total look that is product-driven, fresh and impactful
