BOTTEGA VENETA READY-TO-WEAR CAMPAIGN SPRING 2019

Time - indefinable and transient, the ultimate in luxury. Bottega Veneta’s Spring 2019 campaign, the first executed under the Creative Direction of Daniel Lee, focuses on that notion. The result is, paradoxically, timeless - an examination of the codes and heritage of Bottega Veneta, on what it represents in the fashion landscape of today. It is a palate cleanser, a reset of our perception, a reestablishing of identity for now. Photographed by Tyrone LeBon, these natural, unself-conscious pictures seem like fragments of a larger narrative, as if scenes captured from a film. Influenced by Italian neorealist cinema - and the way of life those films reflect - each image encapsulates and cements a different character, a persona, that represents a facet...

KISS BY TOD’S

Kiss by Tod’s” celebrates the Italians distinctive warmth and lightness presenting it in an authentic way, with a simple and genuine gesture: a kiss. Whether it is a sign of friendship, of love, a spontaneous greeting or a moment of complicity, the kiss is a universal code, which in Italian culture takes on a special flavour, a playful nod to the ltalian people's love and zest for life, of which Tod’s is a global ambassador. Building on “Ciao”, the previous campaign, “Kiss” is a new chapter in which Tod's speaks of the naturalness of Italian style, starting with the simplest day-to-day gestures. The contrast between the warm portraits and dynamic motion, the playfulness and relaxed elegance add a dimension of cool edge...

Tomo Koizumi’s New York Fashion Week

Tomo Koizumi is spreading like wildfire after the designer's New York Fashion Week debut on Feb. 8. Shortly after Koizumi's show at the Marc Jacobs Madison Avenue store, his colorful frilled styles became an overnight Instagram sensation. With the star power of celebrities like Bella Hadid, Gwendoline Christie, Rowan Blanchard, Joan Smalls, and Emily Ratajkowski walking the runway, is it any surprise these looks took over our feeds? Last month, Koizumi connected with Love magazine editor Katie Grand while living in Japan. The photos of his work on Instagram amazed her and designer Giles Deacon, and she requested he put on a show at NYFW. Koizumi pulled together a ready-to-wear fashion line featuring 28 separate pieces made with Japanese polyester organza instead of tulle. The designer told Vogue his line is inspired by...

A|X Armani Exchange Spring/Summer 2019

For SS19, The A|X Armani Exchange collection blends casual elements and constant activewear contaminations, enriched with futuristic explorations and elements borrowed from streetwear, college and rock‘n’roll styles. For women, the lightweight, feminine, summer spirit is juxtaposed to a stronger, irreverent, effortless soul. For men, the combination of styles is encompassing: elegant, casual and urban. Studded jackets and preppy or nylon bombers are paired with oversized camouflage pieces, parkas and denim jackets, both in mini and maxi versions. The logo is a constant feature, in a graphic, maxi version on women’s pieces, and on fabric tape trimming T-shirts, sweatshirts or trousers on the men’s, and on accessories and sneakers. The colour palette comprises bright and fluorescent hues, with prints inspired by tattoos...

MARNI DANCE BUNNY SPRING/SUMMER 2019

A rabbit symbol was first introduced over a decade ago as a detail on the Marni shoes line. It has always been internally considered as a sign of good luck, a sort of talisman that has been applied in a discreet way on various products throughout the years. In the Fall/Winter 2018 ready-to-wear collections, Marni Creative Director Francesco Risso decided to reinterpret this iconic symbol and present it in a new and playful way, including in the men’s runway looks, giving birth to the DANCE BUNNY logo and the idea to present a cross-category capsule collection around this concept. The Spring/Summer 2019 capsule is enriched with new interpretations of the BIGFOOT sneaker, also introduced in Fall/Winter 2018 with fantastic market feedback. The...

‘Drew House’ is a new clothing line of Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber has been hard at work on a new clothing line, and it finally went live on Tuesday. It's called Drew House, and the aesthetic is all about "chilling," I think. If you're the kind of person who'd spend $98 on a slouchy hoodie with a big yellow smiley face and a curved "drew" as the mouth, This collection is for you. The homepage of the website reveals a group of models who look a little too cool to be posing for photos, which is kinda the point. They also somehow all remind me of Justin Bieber himself, which also might be part of the point. "drew house is a place where you can be yourself. blah blah blah blahsdbksjdfhl wear...

Senreve Belt Bags

A few months ago Senreve added two new bags to its line up and when our friends over at Senreve reached out to us to see if we wanted to get a better look, of course we said yes! We’re excited to introduce you all to Senreve’s Belt Bags, both of which have been incredibly popular since their release over the summer, and after taking them both for a spin around NYC, we can see why. It’s hard to say which belt bag I love more, because truthfully they are both really that good. I’ll start with the Aria Belt Bag, which we styled in Mimosa Bordeaux. What I love about Senreve’s leathers is how sturdy they are. The quality is incredible...

Do they qualify as classics though? I'll let my intrepid readers be the judge. Also of immense concern this week: Gigi Hadid has a mystery bag that literally bears her name. But what is it?! Chinatown Market x Crocs

Crocs has been on a tear with its footwear collaborations recently. After teaming up with Post Malone, PLEASURES, and Balenciaga, to name a few, the brand will now release a co-branded Clog with Highsnobiety collaborator Chinatown Market. In Chinatown Market's typical, out-of-the-box style, the Clog is dressed in a turf appliqué on the toe box and insole to (in the brand's own words) "bring the serenity of a barefoot walk through the grass to the grocery store, workplace, or wherever else life takes you!" This design is the latest in a long line of eccentric, limited-edition Crocs and is sure to be one of the more interesting footwear releases in 2019. Just recently, Post Malone's Croc collaboration was found to be one of the most valuable "sneakers" to be...
